Terms of Use

Last updated September 2026

Moggykit is a set of free developer tools — placeholder images, practice API data and README widgets — built on data about real rescue cats in the care of Associação Ambiental da Via da Estrela (“the association”). By using any Moggykit tool you agree to these terms.

The tools are free

Every tool is free to use, with no account and no API key. You may use the images and data as placeholders and sample content in personal and commercial projects, in learning materials, and in open-source work.

Acceptable use

You must not use the images, data or any Moggykit tool:

  • in any unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful or misleading way;
  • in adult, violent or otherwise harmful contexts;
  • to imply that the association, its cats or its volunteers endorse your product, service or views;
  • in a manner that could harm the welfare of the animals or the reputation of the association;
  • to place undue load on the service — automated bulk scraping or abusive request volumes may be rate-limited or blocked.

These are real animals

The images and records depict real rescue cats. Please treat them, and the association’s work, with respect. Each response links back to a cat’s sponsorship page; sharing that link is welcome but never required.

Availability and changes

The tools are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, and availability is not guaranteed. We may change, rate-limit, suspend or withdraw any tool at any time. Individual cats may be added or removed at any time — for example when a cat is adopted or its details are withdrawn — and any locally cached copy must be refreshed accordingly.

The association may revoke

The association may revoke access, or require the removal of any image or record, at any time and for any reason. Using the tools creates no partnership, agency or endorsement between you and the association or Moggykit.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Moggykit nor the association accepts liability for any loss or damage arising from use of the tools.
